Description

Krug Rose

Krug Rose is the only prestige cuvee rose to be blended from a rich palette of wines from three different grape varieties, and from several vintages. These are combined with a very expressive skin-fermented Pinot Noir wine to provide its unparalleled color and spice. A stay of at least five years in the cellars gives Krug Rose its subtle bubbles and long-lasting elegance.Krug Rose is a remarkable Champagne surpassing the very notion of vintage.

Composed around the harvest of 2013, Krug Grande Cuvée 169ème Édition is a blend of 146 wines from 11 different years. The youngest is from the year 2013 and the oldest dates back to 2000.

In all, reserve wines from the House’s extensive library made up 40% of the final blend, bringing the breadth and roundness so essential to each Édition of Krug Grande Cuvée.

The final composition of this champagne is 43% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 22% Meunier.

In all, over 20 years of careful craftsmanship were necessary to enjoy Krug Grande Cuvée 169ème Édition.
